April 15, 2014

Dear Friends,

This Thursday at Grace we’ll commemorate Maundy Thursday with a Sacrificial Supper (soup and bread) at 6:30 P.M. followed by a Communion Service at 7:30.  Reservations are required for the dinner so please call the church office if you would like to attend.  We still have room for you!  Everyone is invited to join us for a very meaningful Communion service called Tenebrae at 7:30.

Easter Sunday will be another amazing day here at Grace as we begin with a Continental Breakfast at 9:00 A.M. followed by Small Groups and Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:30.  At 10:45 we will gather in the Sanctuary for our Easter Worship Celebration.  I’ll be concluding my sermon series, “The Healing Power of Christ”, with a message entitled “The Healing Power of the Resurrection.”  Our service will feature selections from our Children’s Choir, our Adult Bell Choir and our Sanctuary Choir.  In addition, our Praise Team will be participating.  It’s going to be a wonderful service that you won’t want to miss.  Please invite a friend or two to join us!

I want to thank Barbara Green and the Sanctuary Choir for the magnificent Palm Sunday musical program, “I Am the Lord of the Dance”.  It was a great blessing to everyone who attended (and the church was full!).

It was also a great privilege to witness the baptisms of four individuals…Anna Yatsko, Ive Ortiz, Davis Rhea and Irene Philips.  It was inspiring to hear their words of testimony and a privilege to be present as they followed Christ in the waters of baptism.

I also want to thank Casey Stauffer and Kristin Paluszka and the many volunteers for another successful Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday.  The many children and parents who attended had a delightful time and it was a great outreach to our community.

See you Sunday,

Pastor George
