Caring for the Needs of Our Church Family

This Sunday I will continue my series of messages designed to introduce us to our new Vision Statement for 2014 based on the word BECOME.  This Sunday, in part 3, we’ll focus on the theme “Caring for the Needs of Our Church Family,” based on John 21:16-18 and Luke 16:19-31.  Caring is really at the heart of the message of the Gospel.  As Jesus said, “Love one another as I have loved you.”  As part of our theme of caring, Obed Arango will be presenting a Mission Moment focused on the important work of CCATE headquartered in nearby Norristown.  We’ll also be sharing communion together…the ultimate symbol of God’s love and care for us.

Our Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering will be received beginning this Sunday and continuing throughout the month February.  Let us give generously to show our gratitude for those who have served the Church so faithfully.  Our goal this year is $2,500.

It’s also Pastor Appreciation Sunday and we’ll take a moment to recognize all the ordained clergy who are connected to our church’s life and ministry.  At last count, that included 13 individuals!

Super Bowl Bowling is this Sunday night at Facenda Whitaker Lanes at 6:00 P.M.  It’s not too late to sign up for a fun evening of bowling, food and FOOTBALL!  This event is open to anyone at the church who’s interested.  Read all the details in your February newsletter and come on out and join the fun.

No snow this Sunday!  In fact, the forecast is calling for temperatures near 50 degrees!  We hope you’ll join us for worship!

See you Sunday!
