From the Pastor – March 30, 2018

Dear Friends,

This is Holy Week and we invite you to participate in all our special services and activities…

First, for those who have signed up, don’t forget to join us for a Maundy Thursday celebration tonight, March 29.  This year it will feature a very meaningful Passover Seder for the whole family.  It will be led by Rev. Roger L. Walmbold, General Director of the Hebrew Christian Fellowship.  It begins at 6:30 P.M. with our traditional sacrificial dinner of bread and soup followed by the Seder demonstration and Communion.

Second, our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt will take place this Saturday, March 31.  Please plan to bring your children and grandchildren and invite some children you know.  Activities and games begin at 10:30 A.M.   This has become a wonderful and well-attended tradition here at Grace, so don’t miss it!

Finally, Easter Sunday is going to be a magnificent day here at Grace and will begin with a full breakfast at 9:00 A.M.  Please call the church office if you haven’t signed up yet so that we know approximately how many to prepare for.  Many thanks to Bob Stremme and the Men of Grace for preparing and serving our breakfast this year.  Sunday School for all ages will follow breakfast at 9:30.

At 10:45 we will gather in the Sanctuary for our Easter Worship Celebration.  I’ll be sharing a message entitled “Is There Life before Death?” based on John 6:61-69.  Our service will feature selections from our Graceland kids, the Praise Team, our Bell Choir and our Sanctuary Choir.  It’s going to be a wonderful service that you won’t want to miss.  Please invite a friend or two to join you!

Finally, I want to thank Barbara Green, our Sanctuary Choir and members of our new Drama Team for Palm Sunday’s wonderful program, “Here Is Love.”  It was a great blessing and a wonderful way to prepare spiritually for Holy Week and Easter.

 See you in church!

Pastor George
