From the Pastor: November 19th, 2014: Excited about this Sunday!

November 19, 2014

Update –

Dear Friends,

I’m very excited about this coming Sunday!  It is the day on which our Stewardship Campaign reaches its conclusion and we have the opportunity to make a financial commitment to the ministry we share.  Here at Grace Baptist Church the needs continue to exist and even expand as we endeavor to reach our community with the Gospel while creating an atmosphere for ministry to the family of God.  We have been blessed greatly during the past year, yet I believe that great challenges and opportunities lie ahead.  We need the support of every member and regular attender of our church if we are to reach our financial goals for the coming year and continue to move forward for the glory of God.  Please pray about your participation in this year’s campaign and plan to bring your pledge card to church with you this Sunday.  Extra copies will be available in each bulletin and they will be collected at the conclusion of the worship service.

I’ll be speaking on the subject “Transformed Living and Giving” based on two very powerful verses of Scripture, Romans 12:1-2.

What an uplifting time of worship we experienced last Sunday!  Praise the Lord!  Thanks to all who shared their gifts with us.  Special thanks to Jean-Luc Krieg (Missionary to Mexico City) for his inspiring message.

The 2nd Annual Vendor Fair will be held this Saturday, November 22, 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.  This is a great opportunity for some Christmas shopping.  All proceeds will support the summer mission trip to Vassar, MI, July 12-18, 2015.

The kid’s trip to Busy Bees Pottery and Arts Studio in Conshohocken will take place this Sunday, November 23 at 1:00 P.M.  A pizza lunch will be enjoyed before going.  Contact Casey Stauffer to sign up your children, 5th grade and under.

Don’t forget to order your Christmas poinsettias!  The deadline for orders is November 30.  Order forms will be in your bulletin on Sunday morning.

Hope to see you this Sunday!
