Dear Friends,

This Sunday I’ll continue a series of Stewardship sermons with a message entitled “The Stewardship of Our Gifts” based on 1 Corinthians 12:12-31.  We all have a ministry to fulfill in the church and out in the world where we live, play, work, and witness.  Each must identify the gift that God has given and offer it up to the mutual well-being and up-building of other brothers and sisters.

The Trustees have scheduled a church work day for this Saturday, November 7, 9:00 A.M.–noon.  Volunteers are needed to do both inside and outside work.  Please come out and help if you can.

Our Annual Church Hayride and Bonfire will be held this Saturday, November 7 at Merrymead Farm in Lansdale.  The tractor will leave at 5:00 P.M.  Cost is $10 per person.  Please contact Casey Stauffer if you would like to attend and haven’t signed up yet.

November is the month when Care Packages are sent to our college students.  If you know a college student who would enjoy a box of candy, snacks and random fun right around finals time, please send the name and address to Trish in the church office.  Please bring in your leftover Halloween candy or treats and empty shoe boxes – we need a dozen more!  Please bring goodies and boxes this Sunday to the table in the narthex.

Plan to attend our annual fall concert, “The Nifty 50’s”, on Saturday, November 14.  This year there will be two shows, 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.  It’s going to be a great day of music and fellowship that you won’t want to miss.  Plan to attend one of our shows…you won’t regret it!

Congratulations to Linda Allmond who was recently honored as an Elm Terrace Gardens Star!  Linda began her volunteer work at ETG in April 2013.  She picks up mending from the residents, does the repairs, and delivers the articles back to ETG. Linda has mended socks and sewn everything from underwear to evening gowns.  “God has a plan” is Linda’s theme for all her volunteer work at ETG and here at Grace Baptist where she’s the coordinator for the Prayer Chain and the Care Giving Team.  Thank you, Linda, for all you do!
