Sunday school – An Unlikely Advent
During this Advent season all are encouraged to participate in our Advent Study, “An Unlikely Advent”. This study will take place during the Sunday School hour at 9:30am.
In this book, author Rachel Billups guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, King Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas. It’s our hope that through the study we would not only develop a deeper appreciation of the Christmas story but also a richer and more robust life as Jesus’ followers, that our lights would burn brighter and stronger for Jesus.
If you can’t attend on Sunday morning, you can still participate by reading the book on your own. The book is available for purchase for $12. You can place your money or check in the wooden box on Trish’s desk in the of- fice.
