Senior Minister
Pastor David began his ministry as pastor of Grace Baptist Church in July 2020. His vision for the church and his personal ministry is rooted in Jesus’ words, “Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.” His passion in ministry is to help people connect with and experience God’s transforming presence and equip them to become agents of transformation in our world that is dying for hope, change, and the transformation that only God can bring. Romans 12:1-2, Micah 6:8; and Ephesians 4:11-12 are verses that guide Pastor David’s life and ministry.
Pastor Braneky holds a BA in Christian Ministries from Messiah College and a Master of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary; He has also taken basic and accelerated coach training. Previously, he has served as the pastor of the Baptist Church of West Chester, Lansdowne Baptist Church, and led U.S. and Canadian students on peacebuilding/cross-cultural exchanges to South Africa.
Pastor David is married to Janet, a Neo-Natal Intensive Care Nurse. Together they have three sons. Frankie, Wendell, and Henry. In his spare time, Pastor David enjoys reading, baking, biking, sports, and gardening.
Brady Rennix, Student and Young Adult Pastor
Brady is originally from Lancaster, PA, and has ministry degrees from Lancaster Bible College and Biblical Theological Seminary. He is excited to guide students and young adults at Grace Baptist Church as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Brady can often be seen at Montgomery County Community College, Delaware Valley Community College, and other local colleges doing his work ministering to young adults. Casey Brookes, Director of Children and Family Ministries
Casey M. Brookes was welcomed to Grace Baptist Church in October 2011 as the Director of Children and Family Ministries. She has spent most of her life helping in the children’s department while growing up. She is the daughter of an American Baptist Pastor and had the privilege of growing up in Norristown, PA, later moving with her family to Silver Spring, MD, and Alderson, WV.
She is a 2009 graduate of Eastern University in St. David’s with a major in Youth Ministry and a minor in Biblical Studies. While attending Eastern University, she had the opportunity to intern at the American Baptist Churches’ headquarters for National Ministries, working on the National Gathering of American Baptist Youth, “More than a Week”, in 2008. She now resides in Secane, PA, a full-time administrative assistant in the court of common pleas. In her free time, you can find Casey cheering on the Phillies, having craft nights with her friends, and spending time with her family. Casey is married to Scott Brookes, and has one son, Bryson.
Brian Horoho, Director of Music
Brian’s passion is to help our congregation and guests grow in our music and worship ministry in the ways we feel God is calling us to grow. His goals for the music content of our worship are to give glory to an ‘audience of one,’–God, and tell the Gospel story. Brian has served as full-time Choral Director at Upper Merion Area High School since 1999. In addition, he has been involved in professional church music ministry all his adult life. He started in the early 1990s when he served as a song leader for large youth gatherings at summer/winter retreats and special events. Since then, Brian has been in worship and music leadership for several different denominations ranging from independent Bible churches to Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist, and Lutheran congregations. Since 2006, he has been a choir director for Shannondell at Valley Forge. Brian is married to Michelle Horoho and has four children, 20, 19, 17, and 15. They live in Audubon.
Trish Simpson, Office Manager
Trish has been part of the Grace Baptist staff since 1996. She and her husband, Barry, are members of Central Schwenkfelder Church in Worcester and live in Upper Gwynedd. Trish has her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music and taught private piano lessons in her home for over 30 years. She has been the Bell Choir Director at Central Schwenkfelder Church since 1987 and substitutes at the organ for her church and others in the area. She and Barry have three children, Whitney, Stephanie, and Travis, and seven grandchildren.
Erik Ashcraft, Sexton
Erik, a Lansdale resident and father of a son, Dylan, grew up at First Baptist Church in Lansdale and Faith Baptist in Sellersville. He has 30 years of retail management and customer service experience. Currently, he attends Valley Forge Baptist in Oaks. He holds a certification as a recognized pulpit speaker.
