Sunday School — “An Unlikely Advent”
ADULT ADVENT STUDY: Our Advent Study, “An Unlikely Advent”, begins today and continues on Sundays at 9:30am through December 22. If you can’t attend on Sunday mornings, you can still participate by reading the book on your own. The book is available for purchase for $12. You can place your money or check in the wooden box on Trish’s desk in the office. Author Rachel Billups guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, King Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach us about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas. It’s my hope that through the study we would not only develop a deeper appreciation of the Christmas story but also a richer and more robust life as Jesus’ followers, that our lights would burn brighter and stronger for Jesus.
