From the Office Manager — September 27, 2018

Dear Grace Baptist,

This coming Sunday, October 1, is Faith In Action Sunday.  There will be no Sunday School or Service of Worship.  It is our hope that many of you will be involved in one of the community outreach projects.  One work project is on Saturday and we will host a Community Night for families of Hope Gardens, Hope Forest and Inter-Faith on October 19, but the rest will be happening on Sunday.  Pastor George returns from Massachusetts tomorrow and will be here to participate with Faith In Action on Sunday.

Another activity this weekend is the All-Church Hayride and Bonfire at Merrymead Farm in Worcester on Saturday evening.  The hayride starts at 6:00 P.M. so don’t be late.  S’mores will follow around the bonfire.   A fun time for the young and young at heart!  Contact Casey right away if you haven’t signed up already.

Next Sunday, October 8, is our Faith In Action Celebration during the 10:45 Service of Worship.  We’ll hear reports from our various projects and enjoy photos of the different activities.  A special reception will follow the worship service.   We will also be part of World Wide Communion as we take the Lord’s Supper with other believers near and far.  Please plan to be with us!

Some of you in Blue Bell may have already noticed that our new church sign is at last running!  There will be glitches as we continue to learn how to put information up, but the sign is already helping us to reach out to the community.

Sadly, we want to express our sympathy to Dorothy Heebner and Sarah Ratcliffe-Beaty who’ve lost loved ones this past week.  Gil Heebner passed away on Saturday, September 23.  His memorial service will be at Rydal on Monday, October 9 at 11:00 A.M.  Sarah’s cousin, Rhonda Sloan, died in Australia after a long battle with cancer.

Watch for the October 1 News & Notes which will be sent out in a mass e-mail tomorrow.
