From the Pastor — December 22, 2017

Dear Friends,

Please join us this Sunday at 10:45 for our Fourth Sunday in Advent worship celebration.  I’ll be sharing a message entitled “Perfect Gifts” based on Matthew 2:9-11.  By the way, how many Wise Men were there?  Our service will also feature the beautiful music of our Sanctuary Choir, Bell Choir and the Graceland Girls.

We invite you to return to Grace on Sunday evening for our Christmas Eve service.  This is always one of the most beautiful and meaningful services of the year as we celebrate in candlelight the birth of our Savior.  From the lighting of the Christ Candle in the Advent Wreath to the singing of “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World”, it will be a wonderful evening for everyone.

Thank you to Barbara Green, the Chancel Choir and the Graceland Kids for the beautiful Christmas cantata last Sunday, “Peace Has Come.”  It was wonderful to see the sanctuary nearly filled with worshippers and the music was a great blessing.

Thank you also to all who helped to make last Sunday night’s Christmas Program and Family Gathering a tremendous success.  A great crowd of people, including lots of kids, enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and food around the tables preceded by a wonderful Christmas program from the Graceland Kids directed by Gene Stremme.  There was also, of course, a visit from Santa.  Many thanks to our Christian Ed. Board for organizing this annual event and for all those who cooked and brought desserts and helped clean up.  A wonderful time was had by all!

Merry Christmas!

Pastor George
