From the Pastor – February 11, 2016
Dear Friends,
First, I want to thank you for all your prayers, cards, emails and best wishes. As in the past, I have been overwhelmed by your kindness. I am truly blessed to be the pastor of such a caring, compassionate and patient congregation! I’m writing today to give you a brief update on my progress.
The good news is I am doing better every day and hope to be back in the pulpit (with my doctor’s approval) on February 21st. I’m so thankful to Doug Hargis and to Chris Lister for filling in for me these past few weeks. Thank you also to Ken Green and the Board of Deacons for making important arrangements in my absence.
I never expected to begin the New Year with a week in the hospital, but that’s the nature of life. With God’s help and your support, however, I’m looking forward to getting back in the saddle soon to continuing our ministry together. We have much work to do and I’m excited about accomplishing it with you!
God Bless,
Pastor George
