Dear Friends,

It’s been an interesting and challenging last few weeks but I’m happy to report that I’m doing much better and things are beginning to return to “normal”.  Thank you again for your prayers and the constant flow of cards and best wishes.  They have made a tremendous difference!

I’m really looking forward to being with you this Sunday, February 21!  It is the second Sunday in Lent and I’ll be sharing a message entitled “What Did You Give Up for Lent?”.  All of us are continually being tested.  The message of Christ’s testing in the wilderness offers us the hope that temptation can be resisted.

A wonderful Lenten devotional booklet, “Faithful Facts for Lent”, is available at the Welcome Center.  Pick up your copy this Sunday.  It will enrich your Lenten journey!

Daniel and Sara Beaty are leading a Sunday School class, “Journey to the Resurrection,” each Sunday in Room B.  This special elective focuses on John 3:16 and will continue through Easter Sunday.

A Retro Game Show Extravaganza will be sponsored by our youth on Saturday, February 27, at 1:00 P.M. here at the church.  “Come on down” and hope you’ll be the next contestant on “The Price Is Right”!  We need you (grown-ups and kids) for audience participation.  You will get a ticket at the door for your chance to be a contestant, and you will have a chance to buy more tickets in exchange for a donation to the summer mission trip to Hurricane, WV.  Feel free to dress appropriately!  Any questions, speak to Kristin or any youth group member.
