From the Pastor – February 3, 2017

Dear Friends,

Our Mission Team returned safely from Chile this past Monday!  I know they had a very meaningful, worthwhile and fun time together.  They will be giving a brief report on their trip on Sunday, February 12 during our worship service.

This Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and I’ll be sharing a message entitled simply “The Lord’s Supper.”  Together we’ll be looking at Paul’s account of the Lord’s Supper that he said was directly given to him by the risen Lord Jesus.  It’s recorded in 1 Corinthians 11:23-34 where he describes in detail exactly what the Lord’s Supper is to be and how it is to be observed.  That’s what we’ll talk to you about this Sunday.

We have completed our Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering. Our total (as of January 29) stands at $1,626.00.  While we may not have quite reached our goal, we are very thankful to all who have given so generously to support this important offering.  Your gifts will make a difference!

Super Bowl bowling is coming this Sunday, February 5.  Approximately 30 people have signed up at the Welcome Center to enjoy an evening of bowling, fun and fellowship (and a little football) at Facenda Whitaker Lanes in Norristown beginning at 6 P.M.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.  Cost includes pizza, chips and drinks.  If you didn’t get a chance to sign up, please contact Casey Brookes and let her know that you’re interested.

See You in Church,

Pastor George
