From the Pastor — January 4, 2018

Dear Friends,

We survived our first major storm of 2018!  I hope you are all dug out and will join us for our first worship and communion services of the New Year.  The church has been well-plowed and salted so we are ready for you!  I’ll be sharing a message about Mary and Joseph’s flight to Egypt entitled “Two Promises for the New Year” based on Matthew 2:13-18.  Ed Paluszka will be sharing a solo and our guest organist will be Gunta Plostnieks.

This Sunday we will also have the privilege of welcoming Bryan Dodds into our church’s membership.  Bryan’s new member sponsor is Harold Mathues.

There will be a congregational meeting this Sunday at 9:30 A.M. in the sanctuary.  All members of Grace are invited and encouraged to attend.  Regular Sunday School classes will be held for children and youth.

Your 2018 offering envelopes are in church mailboxes.  If you have not received envelopes and wish to have them, please contact the church office.

Please keep Laura Kronmiller’s family in your prayers.  Her funeral service was held on January 3.

Many thanks to Doug Hargis who filled in for me in the pulpit last Sunday as I recovered from bronchitis.  Thank you all for your prayers!

See you in worship!
