From the Pastor, November 22, 2017

Dear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!  I pray you have a wonderful day this week.  I hope that in the midst of family gatherings, good food, football games and all the rest, that you’ll take time to thank God for all of His blessings.

This Sunday we will continue the Thanksgiving theme as I share an interactive message entitled “Messy Blessings.”  In addition to a wonderful brief video by the same title, I hope to enter into a dialogue with you about the highs and lows of Thanksgiving Day.  It’s going to be a very special service that you won’t want to miss.  We will also be dedicating our new church sign and our worship service will feature a special duet by Amy Bocklet and Sue Jenkins.

If you have not yet returned your 2018 pledge card, please do so at your earliest opportunity.  You may drop it in the offering plate or mail it to the church office.  Extra pledge cards are available at the Welcome Center.  On Sunday, December 10, there will be a Congregational Budget Meeting at 9:30 A.M. to discuss and vote on the proposed 2018 ministry budget.

This Sunday is the deadline for ordering Christmas flowers.  To order a poinsettia to be placed in the sanctuary for the Christmas season, please pick up an order form at the Welcome Center and put the completed form with payment in the wooden box on Trish’s desk in the church office.  Please pay in cash or by check payable to “Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell”.

December newsletters are in your church mailboxes today.  Grace Notes is also available for viewing on our church website, www.gbcbb.org.

See You in Church,

Pastor George
