Dear Friends,

This Sunday is Rally Day at Grace Baptist and I want to use this issue of Grace Baptist Updateto highlight a few important things:

First, I hope you’re planning to attend our Rally Day Potluck Breakfast beginning at 9:30 A.M.  Please bring a main dish, side dish or a sweet treat (one per family) to share.

Second, our morning worship service will return to its regular time of 10:45 A.M.  Inspired by our new sign, I’ll be sharing a message entitled “A New Sign of Things to Come” based on John13:34.  Also, our Sanctuary Choir will be returning to the choir loft and will help lead us in worship.

Speaking of our choir, Gunta Plostnieks will be filling in at the organ and piano for Barbara this week as she recovers from her successful surgery (double knee replacement) this past Tuesday.  She’s home now undergoing physical therapy and is doing very well.  Please keep her in your prayers.

It’s going to be a wonderful and exciting day as we kick off our fall program here at Grace and I hope you’ll be with us!

Faith In Action Sunday is coming on October 1.  As always, we have many wonderful opportunities for ministry in our community lined up for that day.  Sign-ups begin this Sunday in the church lobby and descriptions of each ministry opportunity will be available on a bulletin insert.  It is our hope and prayer that everyone who is able will get involved and help us to make this another successful day of outreach and service.

See You in Church,

Pastor George
