Dear Friends,

This Sunday is Rally Day at Grace Baptist and I want to use this issue of Grace Baptist Update to highlight several important things:

First, I hope you’re planning to attend our Rally Day Potluck Brunch beginning at 9:30 A.M.  Set-up begins at 9:15 A.M.   Please bring a main dish, side dish or a sweet treat (one per family) to share.  If you haven’t yet signed up for the brunch, please e-mail or call Amy Bocklet right away (215-264-7622, amybocklet@gmail.com).  Don’t miss the good food and fellowship as we return to our regular church schedule!

Second, our morning worship service will return to its regular time of 10:45 A.M.  I’ll be sharing a message about spiritual gifts entitled “Who? Me?” based on 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.  Also, our Chancel Choir will be returning to the choir loft and will help lead us in worship.

Third, our new Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, Jordan Lichty, will be officially welcomed and introduced to our congregation.

Fourth, we will also be honoring and thanking Kristin Paluszka for her years of dedicated work with our youth and young adults.

It’s going to be a wonderful and exciting day and I hope you’ll be with us!

Faith-in-Action Sunday is coming on September 25.  As always, we have many wonderful opportunities for ministry in our community lined up for that day.  Sign-ups began last Sunday and will continue this Sunday in the church lobby.  Descriptions of each ministry opportunity will be available on a bulletin insert.  It is our hope and prayer that everyone who is able will get involved and help us to make this another successful day of outreach and service.
